The Bitter End Bar and Grill

I have been to many an Irish Pub in my time. Some claim to be Irish and some just get shuffled into that category, well, because a lot of Irish folks tend to hang there. The Bitter End fits more into the latter. I am actually not sure how they classify themselves other than a Bar and Grill but it could be a Irish Pub/Sports Bar. Nonetheless, they don’t need to boast about being a “this” or a “that”. The establishment speaks for itself. I love this place and have since I was brought there a decade ago and have, on more than one occasion, called this my favorite bar in San Francisco. The bar is located on Clement Street (Inner Richmond District) and it’s mere location lends to the diversity that is San Francisco. An Irish Pub next to a Chinese bakery and across the street from a Russian Ballet School. You gotta love this city!

The Bitter End has it all…a great juke box, fantastic atmosphere, good and inexpensive food, a huge selection of beers and ciders (draft and bottle), a full bar, darts, a couple of pool tables and even a fireplace.  There are no frills about this place. Not a dive, mind you, there is something that makes this place feel like home to me. It has a spirit, an essence, a vibe that makes me feel happy and folks…that is what fuckin life is all about!

Oh! Tuesday Night is Trivia Night!

  1. Yummy. Draft beers are the best…my next fav is bottled beers. Awesome pictures.
